This research sought to explore the association between parental feeding methods and children's dietary habits and food selections in Chinese children.
A cross-sectional study was undertaken to collect information from 242 children, aged between 7 and 12, in six primary schools situated in Shanghai, China. Validated questionnaires on parental feeding practices and children's eating habits were completed by a parent who furnished details of the child's daily dietary choices and living arrangements. Children were further directed by researchers to complete a questionnaire concerning their food preferences.
